In one way or another, we have all screwed up. The Bible calls it “sin”. Because of sin, the Bible says we are separated from God, who is holy and righteous. We are responsible for our sin and must eventually pay the penalty for it by spending eternity separated from God in a place the Bible calls hell.
In order to create a way out for us, God sent His only son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect, sinless life. Jesus then died a cruel death on a cross as payment for all man’s sin. As a result, we can have a relationship with God and receive the gift of eternal life by placing our faith in Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
If you have never taken the step of salvation, we encourage you to do so right now. Simply follow the guidelines in I John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Just take a moment and talk to God. Confess your sins before him. Tell him that you acknowledge Jesus is Lord and that you believe that he raised Jesus from the dead. Put your trust in Jesus alone for your salvation. Remember that his blood that he shed on the cross has made him the propitiation for our sins.
If you just took that step and trusted Jesus, we would love to hear about it! We want to celebrate with you as you have made the greatest decision you will ever make. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the church and ask to speak to a minister at 770.748.7060.
